Photovoltaic project at "Les Petits Riens” in Anderlecht

Not-for-profit organisation “Les Petits Riens” turned to EDF Luminus to reduce its environmental impact. EDF Luminus signed a contract with “Les Petits Riens” for the installation of photovoltaic panels on the roof of the organisation’s sorting centre.

Dauvister the subsidiary of EDF Luminus specialised in this field took charge of the project.

Installation of 925 photovoltaic panels on the roof of non-profit organisation "Les Petits Riens"

The installation of 2,450 m2 of photovoltaic panels was finalised in April 2017. The roof of the sorting centre has been equipped with 925 panels with a total power of 245 kWc, the equivalent of the average consumption of 50 households. The solar energy produced is entirely consumed on the site.

In parallel, EDF Luminus carried out an energy audit on the association’s headquarters, which is the location of the central store and a centre for the homeless. This audit, carried out in February 2017, was aimed at enabling the planning of energy performance improvement works.

These two initiatives allow “Les Petits Riens” to improve its energy performance and to optimise consumption. The savings can be re-invested in the association’s primary mission: the social and professional integration of hunders of people excluded from the labour market, and the financing of social actions to fight poverty and exclusion.
